News & Events

1/1/1900 -
9/25/2010 - Kids` Fingerprint Day

The Bossier City Police Department will be at the Pierre Bossier Mall on September 25, 2010, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.  Parents can have fingerprint cards made for their children and BCPD is also giving away gun locks.

10/5/2010 - Bossier City Night Out

The “Bossier City Night Out,” a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the Bossier City Police Department, has been scheduled for TUESDAY, October 5, 2010, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. We cordially invite you and your neighborhood to be part of our “NIGHT OUT 2010 TEAM”.

BOSSIER CITY NIGHT OUT is designed to: (1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnership; and (3) Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. on October 5, 2010 residents in neighborhoods throughout Bossier City and across the nation are asked to lock their doors, turn on outside lights, and spend an evening outside with neighbors and police officers. Many neighborhoods will be hosting a variety of special events such as block parties, cookouts and visits from your police and fire departments. As in years past, if you are planning any event that will require a neighborhood street to be blocked, you must submit a petition to the Crime Prevention Division of the Bossier City Police Department with 51% of the residents’ signatures of the street to be blocked. This petition will be subject to approval by the Bossier City Police Department. Please limit the petitions for streets to be blocked to smaller neighborhood streets and leave open major thoroughfares in your neighborhood for emergency vehicles and regular traffic.

For further information or an application, call 741-8351 or go to the department`s website at http://bossiercity.org/Police/.
